Product Description

Ashwagandha is also called “Indian ginseng” and originated in India. It is one of the most useful plants as per the Ayurveda. Ashwagandha roots contain medicinal properties and used to cure anemia, debility, etc. Its regular consumption helps to improve the immune system. It grows up to 3 feet tall. It has long and elliptical leaves yellowish green in color. It has a tiny berry shape fruit orange-red in color. It is cultivated in humid conditions with low rainfall.

Instructions for planting:

  • Choose a wind-sheltered planting site that receives plenty of direct sunlight.
  • It requires sandy and well-drained soil.
  • It is planted in minimum rainfall area.
  • It can be germinated through seeds.
  • Plant the seeds in the early spring.
  • You can use a medium-sized container to grow seeds.
  • You can also directly sow the seeds in the ground.
  • If planting plenty of plants than allow each plant 24 inches of space.
  • Push the seeds about three-eighths of an inch below the surface of the soil with your finger.
  • The soil needs to be moist during the Ashwagandha’s germination period.
  • After germination, allow the soil to dry between waterings.
  • The new plant will be ready for harvesting in 180 days.

Instructions for care:

  • Ashwagandha needs direct sunlight so decide the place of growing the plant where it can receive maximum 8 hours of sunlight.
  • Ashwagandha crop responds well to Farm Yard Manure, Vermicompost or Green Manure.
  • It does not tolerate excessive irrigation or water logging conditions.
